Design + Industry requires an experienced Sales Director who will lead the growth of business development and sales throughout Australia.  Working across a broad spectrum of industries, including consumer, medical, communications, banking, and business equipment, the Sales Director will promote the firms expertise in design innovation, development of new technologies, and the highly skilled and creative team.

The right candidate will have a minimum of 10+ years experience in sales and a demonstrated track record of opening new accounts, developing relationships at a high level and achieving performance  targets.  Key to the success of this role is the ability to empathetically connect with senior decision makers and sell strategic solutions tailor-made to client needs.

Key skills and experience needed to successfully perform the role include:
•    Direct experience in selling professional services  
•    Well developed network of business contacts in a range of industries
•    Demonstrated ability to achieve performance targets
•    Ability to develop relationships at a high level
•    Strong quoting and proposal writing skills
•    Exceptional client management

While not essential, experience or knowledge of industrial design and product development will be highly regarded, as will work experience in the medical device, bio-tech, business equipment or high-tech manufacturing sectors. 

The position will be based in either Sydney or Melbourne depending on the suitable candidate’s preferred location.
